Packed lunches
Iqra school is committed to ensuring our students are having a healthy lunch. Choosing the right foods helps our children concentrate and learn. Please support us in ensuring that your child is bringing in healthy food needed to fill them up and give them energy.
Anything children bring into school as part of their packed lunch or snack which is not allowed e.g. chocolate, crisps (fried) etc. will be taken from them and returned to parents at the end of the day. Parents will be contacted to bring in a healthy substitute.
Fruit is provided for snacks in Reception to Year 2 at break time. Break time snacks for Key Stage 2 is to be only raw fruit (dried or fresh) or vegetables. No biscuits, crisps or chocolates. ANY GRAPES OR SMALL TOMATOES MUST BE CUT IN HALF. Grapes are to be cut in half long ways.
DUE TO SEVERE ALLERGIES NO NUTS ARE ALLOWED IN PACKED LUNCHES.
